Paulo Figueiredo

Paulo Figueiredo Filho is a Brazilian journalist and economist based in Florida. He is the grandson of the 30th President of the Republic of Brazil, João Figueiredo.

Paulo Figueiredo is known for his work on the JP News TV channel and for being a co-host of the show Os Pingos nos Is ("The dots on the Is"), a top-rated program during its time slot and awarded the best political show in the country for three consecutive years by popular vote.

Figueiredo reaches over 4 million people on his social media with over 1.3 million followers on Twitter and over 1 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. He is also considered one of Brazil's most popular political professors with his courses "The Death of Journalism" and "The End of America and the World as We Know It" having over 5,000 currently enrolled students.

In December 2022, Paulo was one of the journalists targeted by the Brazilian Supreme Court, which labeled his opinions as a "danger to democracy." The Court decided to block his social media accounts in the country, freeze all his financial assets, impose a fine each time he spoke about topics considered "anti-democratic," and ordered the cancellation of his passport.
