Rebecca Friedrichs

Rebecca Friedrichs has been a California public school teacher for nearly 30 years, and was one of the lead plaintiffs in the historic Supreme Court case, Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association. In that case, Friedrichs and 10 other California public school teachers, tried to break the stranglehold that teachers unions have over public education in California. Her case ended in a 4-4 tie, but it lit the flame for the school choice movement’s fight against the teachers unions, and for students.
